Call for Papers
The International Conference on Digital Image Computing: Techniques and Applications (DICTA) is the premier conference organised in Australia on computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, and related areas. DICTA was established in 1991 as a flagship conference of the Australian Pattern Recognition Society (APRS) and has been historically co-sponsored technically by IEEE and the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). The 25th DICTA 2024 conference will be organised by Edith Cowan University (ECU) from Nov 27-29, 2024 at Novotel Perth Murrey Street hotel in the beautiful city of Perth, Western Australia.
Apart from regular oral and poster sessions, DICTA 2024 is planning to have special sessions (on medical image analysis and digital identity management), industry demos and panel discussions, career fair/job interviews, industry site tour, free technical workshops (26th Nov), data challenge competition,shortlisted ECR awardee presentations, selected highly ranked journal papers presentations, keynote talks from distinguished speakers, various awards and travel grants, free gala dinner in the wonderful Optus Stadium and tour around attractive sites of the Australia’s sunniest city.

Paper Submission: July 1, 2024
Notice of Acceptance: August 12, 2024
Camera-ready Submission: Sept 9, 2024
Early Bird Registration: Sept 30, 2024
Publications: All regular papers (max 8 pages) accepted after double-blind peer review, registered and presented at the DICTA 2024 will be included in the IEEE Xplore database and top-quality papers will be invited to extend and submit to special issues of reputed journals including two Springer Nature journals: SN Computer Science and Visual Intelligence.
Awards and Grants: There will be various awards (e.g., best ECR Award, best paper, best student paper, best poster, best paper in medical imaging, Women in STEM, best contribution to Science) and IEEE SPS travel grant.
